The College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) of Colegio de San Juan de Letran is poised to bolster its Marketing program after signing a Memorandum of Agreement with the Junior Achievement of the Philippines, Incorporated (JAPI) last March 19.
Prof. Eunice Mareth Areola, the dean of CBAA, and alumnus Krishna Alejandrino, the executive director of JAPI, formalized the deal during Letran’s annual CBAA Night held at the Manila Hotel.
With the partnership, Letran has committed to become the partner of JAPI in professionalizing marketing in the Philippines and will encourage its graduating Marketing students to undertake the Registered Marketing Professional validation examination.
The RMP exam is aimed to certify the competency of aspiring marketing professionals given by corporate partners and career expert partners of JAPI. It covers the following areas: Marketing Management, Advertising, Services Marketing, Salesmanship and Sales Management, e-Marketing, and Brand Management.
As the partner of Letran, JAPI will give free post-graduate study training in Marketing to qualified professors.
In recent years, Letran has produced Registered Marketing Professionals such as Paulo Infante in 2014 and Joerome Santos and Ronald Catapang in 2015.
