The Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) recently granted Level II Re-Accredited Status to the Hospitality Management and Information Technology programs of the Colegio.
In addition to that, the Digital Arts program was given Level I Accredited Status.
The Level III Re-Accredited Status is valid until November 2023 while the Level II status is valid until November 2021.
The Colegio received the official announcement of PAASCU, as well as the certificates issued by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP), yesterday, February 11.
FAAP is the agency authorized by the Department of Education and the Commission on Higher Education to certify levels of accreditation as recommended by accrediting bodies.
Achieving Level I and II statuses allow the program/s the folllowing benefits and incentives: full administrative deregulation; financial deregulation in terms of setting tuition and other school charges; authority to revise curriculum without CHED approval; authority to graduate students from accredited courses in the levels accredited without prior CHED approval; priority in the awards of grants/subsidies from CHED-Higher Education Fund for scholarships and other causes; right to use “ACCREDITED” in publications and advertisements; and limited visitation and inspection by CHED.*
