Students and staff of the Colegio planted two hundred tree seedlings at Angat Watershed Reserve in Norzaragay, Bulacan last August 25 as part of their environmental involvement for the upcoming Quadricentennial Celebration of the Colegio.

The tree planting activity was organized by the Center for Community Development in line with their “Build HOPES” program. With the help from the volunteers coming from different student organizations, namely, the Letran Community Volunteers, the Letran DomNet Youth Group and students from the Senior High School Department, the event was a modest success despite the downpour of rain.

After the tree planting activity, the students were oriented by registered foresters from the Angat Watershed explaining to them the importance of reforestation, protecting the wildlife and vegetation in the reserve, and the various programs it offers.

The Colegio is expected to plant a total of two thousand twenty seedlings by the year 2020 in thanksgiving to God for the 400 years of its existence.
