Two new United States Certified Management Accountants (CMA) were added to the roster of College of Business Administration and Accountancy’s (CBAA) international licensure examination passers for the third quarter of 2017.

Rogelio Fernandez, Jr. and Julian Edward Cabarle from the Accountancy Bridging Program successfully hurdled the two-part examination, taken between May and June at the Prometrics testing center in Makati.

The CMA Program is designed to validate the mastery of the advanced skills required to manage finance functions within the organization. First part of the exam includes Financial Reporting, Planning, Performance, and Control, while the second part tests the examinees’ knowledge on Financial Decision Making.

The Institute of Management Accountants administered the examination and officially released the results last August.
CBAA Dean Kenji Asano, Jr, who is also a CMA title holder, is proud that the college has now officially produced international certification passers.

“I am very proud that we have produced new international titleholders,”Asano said, “Specifically the CMA, which is globally recognized in more than 100 countries and is appreciated by thousand of multinational companies worldwide.”

Asano’s thrust for CBAA has reached thousands of students making him the lead trainer and coach of the Insights Financial Review Services, an organization accredited by US WILEY International.

“I envision the CBAA as a seat of excellence in the field of financial decision making and accountability. This will make our students globally competitive and responsive to the call of the industry,” Asano said.
