What a year it has been for the Letran Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (LJPIA).
Capping off the Federation Year 2016 - 17, LJPIA reaped awards in the 12th Year End Awards of the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, which was held during its 10th Annual Grand Summit last April 4 – 7 at Naga City.
LJPIA was awarded Most Improved Local Chapter and Most Artistic Local Chapter. The organization’s event, “Run Hueknighted 2016” was named Best Internal Event in Non-Academics. Also, “Log In – 1st Academic Conference” and “Mr. and Ms. Ambassador of Goodwill” were awarded Most Coordinated Event in Academics and in Non-Academics, respectively. “PARALLAX – 1st General Meeting” was named Most Coordinated Regional General Meeting.
Marc Brian Nabong, an incoming fifth year Accountancy student, was named Outstanding Local Chapter President.
The Summit, themed “Astrum: Link Diversity”, was supported by top professional Accounting services in the country.
Additionally, LJPIA was given the recognition as Boomyanihan Partner Organization of the Year by KABOOM Enterprises, a food chain. The company was a platinum partner of LJPIA and had supported the events of the recognized student organization. The award was given last May 1 in the KABOOM branch in Quezon City.
During this year’s Letran Recognition Day, LJPIA was given the St. Dominic de Guzman award, or the Best Student Organization Award. Nabong was given the Don Juan Geronimo Guerrero and Fray Diego de Sta. Maria OP Awards for his service and the Pres. Manuel Luis Quezon Award for Leadership.
