ABOUT US

Founded in 1620 from the union of two orphanages, Colegio de San Juan de Letran has a rich Dominican heritage spanning nearly 400 years. Declared an ecclesiastical college in 1690, it became a First-Class College by royal decree in 1865. Despite wartime challenges, Letran returned to Intramuros in 1946. Known for producing saints, presidents, heroes, and other distinguished professionals such as St. Vicente Liem de la Paz, Manuel Quezon, and Sergio Osmeña, Letran remains dedicated to Christian education, upholding its core values: DEUS, PATRIA, LETRAN.

Colegio de San Juan de Letran Manila, a Catholic and Dominican institution, with a special devotion to Mary, commits itself to evangelization through education, towards the integral formation of the human person, in the noble tradition of excellence, according to the ideals of Deus, Patria, Letran.
